Sources: Legacy to sign new Oceanic Valorant super team around Launch’s ferg

Legacy are entering Valorant with a potential super team on their hands.

After dominating the early Valorant scene, Team Launch has split. While the first part of the core went to Order, the second half is going to Leagacy, with Veteran IGL Fergus “ferg” Stephenson building a new roster with some of Oceanic Valorant and CS:GO’s brightest stars, sources have told Snowball.

Ferg has left Team Launch to start his new star roster in Oceanic Valorant, sources have told Snowball Esports.

The CS:GO veteran is expected to call on old friends and rising stars to put together Oceanic Valorant’s new super team.

Ferg will be joining forces with ex-Ground Zero’s Aaron “zenk0k0” Cox, former Avant and GZG CS:GO player Tyson “pan1K” Missak, and veterans Gareth “gazR” Lynn and Dale “deoxiDE” Carta.

It comes after Ferg’s former roster signed with Order ahead of First Strike. Their new line-up includes Cameron “disk0” Mac and Kale “autumn” Dunne, who were a part of Ground Zero.

Pan1k has been playing Valorant since release, although hasn’t landed himself a consistent roster since the game’s launch due to CS:GO commitments. He was most recently on Truckers With Attitude, finishing third in ESEA Season 34 Australia.

DeoxiDE made his first appearance in Oceanic Valorant alongside the Bumbleboys roster, which later became Dire Wolves. That roster placed 5-6th in the OCE.gg Community Cup, but the 25-year-old has been LFT since.

gazR hasn’t popped his head up in Oceanic Valorant yet, but he’s a titan of the early Counter-Strike scene. He was a part of the former Immunity 1.6 and Exile5 CS:GO roster ferg was on back in the early 2010s.

The roster is expected to sign with Legacy Esports after it was revealed five OPL teams would be expanding into Valorant ahead of the Rise of Valour First Strike qualifiers.

As for Ground Zero, the ‘unnamed’ roster they signed after the Oceanic Valorant Open is now dead with only one player — Kane “KANEEEE” Pearce — left. The team still has a slot in the Rise of Valour qualifiers though, and is expected to pick up a new roster.

Legacy’s Valorant roster is expected to be:

  • Fergus “ferg” Stephenson
  • Gareth “gazR” Lynn
  • Tyson “pan1K” Missak
  • Dale “deoxiDE” Carta
  • Aaron “zenk0k0” Cox

Update: Ground Zero have officially announced zenk0k0 and KANEEEE’s departure from their Valorant roster.

“Today we bid farewell to our short-lived however incredible Valorant roster,” they said in an October 28 post.
