Sliding Doors: LCO 2021 Split 1, Playoffs

Welcome back to the final edition of Sliding Doors for LCO Split 1!

Each week we run through the League of Legends Circuit Oceania teams with sometimes spicy, sometimes nice if/then takes, and, every now and then, an additional bonus one around a special topic.

You might be familiar with this concept if you’re an AFL fan, which is where we got the idea. So without further ado, here are your sliding doors for LCO Split 1, Week 4!

You were hopeful about the Chiefs making a splash in playoffs,

their slow finish doesn’t instill confidence. A 5-3 record at the end of Week 3 to a 7-7 finish is ominous.

There was a perfect time to find yourself some form,

the Wolfpack is peaking at the right time. A couple of best of fives could really do some wonders.

Any organisation is suffering an identity crisis,

outside of a monotone ‘Gravitas. Glory,’ another measly split isn’t giving spectators much to cheer or celebrate.

You’re a new Legacy fan after Worlds 2020,

don’t be concerned about how this season went. They’d get a pass mark considering all the off-season whispers after putting up a solid fight.

You consistently finish bottom 2 in the LCO since changing ownership,

what’s the end game here for this organisation? They haven’t even expanded to other titles.

You’re looking for great commentary of Order’s playoffs run,

GoMeZ’s analysis is sure to keep you entertained.

There’s a team you should be concerned about heading into playoffs,

it’s Peace. Not only have they faltered near the end, but their mental is going to be tested in a best of five.

You pick Amumu to be handed your first loss,

a conversation about competitive integrity might be on the agenda.

You have tiebreakers in split 2,

as good as Rusty’s one-man effort was, I’m not keen to see a repeat of a broadcast that was on par with pre-spectator client days.

That’s all we have for this split! Check back next split before the LCO action for more Sliding Doors!
