Warner Music brings the beats to LCO as new gameday partner

The deal will see a 'Song of the Day' played on-stream each matchday.

The LCO and record label Warner Music have announced a partnership that brings Warner in as the league’s first Music Partner.

The announcement comes after Pentanet.GG, representing the LCO and Oceania as Split 1 champions, brought the region’s best-ever international result at the recent Mid-Season Invitational in Iceland.

Warner Music will supply a ‘Song of the Day’ to the LCO for each day of the broadcast over the nine-week season, selected from a specially curated playlist. They will also have the opportunity to provide live music acts for any live LCO event that runs in 2021, which Snowball Esports understands should include MEO 2021.

The partnership extends Warner’s relationship with and commitment to League of Legends esports, having already made a deal in Europe.

Warner Music said they were excited to take up this League of Legends opportunity, and help grow the competition as well as create a new platform for their artists.
