Sliding Doors: LCO 2021 Split 2, Week 7

Has Wray gone a bit soft?

Welcome back to Sliding Doors for the Door Dash LCO Split 2!

Each week we run through the League of Legends Circuit Oceania teams with sometimes spicy, sometimes nice if/then takes, and, every now and then, an additional bonus one around a special topic.

You might be familiar with this concept if you’re an AFL fan, which is where we got the idea. So without further ado, here are your sliding doors for LCO Split 2, Week 7!

One player is showing he can put a team on his back,

Lived demonstrated he can do it on his Akali.

There’s only three weeks out from playoffs and you’re still not a real threat,

it’s looking rather ominous for the Wolfpack’s chances. Not much time left to find some consistency.

There’s something symbolic about Gravitas,

it’s despite having a split that has absolutely exceeded expectations, they’re still somehow 7th.

Any player is having a renaissance,

we’re absolutely here to celebrate Sybol The Shybol’s return to form.

There’s one job I don’t envy,

it’s management at Mammoth. Remember when this organisation went to worlds? Me neither.

Order fans weren’t insufferable enough,

now they’re sitting second after a 3-0 week, the lid is well and truly off.

A team looks like they’re still playing catch-up,

it’s fair to say things aren’t quite going to plan for Peace. Going from NA Academy to this must be a big blow.

We were worried about their early split jitters,

it looks like we can settle down as the Pentanet of Split 1 has returned.

That’s all we have for this week! Check back every Tuesday for more Sliding Doors!
