Fortress Melbourne to host second Oceanic Valorant Ignition Series event

Esports and Gaming hub to build on success of Order Valorant Open with the next Ignition Series event

Melbourne’s newest venue for gaming of all varieties, Fortress Melbourne, is now the newest home of the Valorant Ignition Series after the announcement of the Rise of Valour tournament for August 2020.

Over three weekends in August, Fortress will host six Open Qualifiers for Rise of Valour. Each qualifier offers a shot for amateur and pro teams alike to progress through the event. 

The top 16 teams will progress through the qualifiers to the play-ins and then the Finals, ending with a chance to be the next Oceanic Valorant Ignition Series champions in the Grand Final on September 6.

The previous Oceanic event in the Order Valorant Open was won by the ghosts of CS:GO past in Team Launch, featuring such luminaries as tucks, texta, wizard, DickStacy and ferg. The pace has been set early by some big names in Oceanic esports to be at the peak of this rising title.

Those who wish to take their place alongside Team Launch will be playing for a share of $70,000 in prizes. The event is open to  pro and amateur teams alike, and further details can be found on the Fortress Melbourne website.


Registration is open now for Rise of Valour, be prepared for some fiery competition kicking off in August.
