Red Bull Valorant Campus Clutch launches in Australia with path to $30,000 World Finals

Campus Clutch is the first dedicated university Valorant tournament in Australia.

Valorant is joining the long list of university esports in Australia with the launch of Red Bull’s Campus Clutch. One squad will have the chance to make the $30,000 World Finals later in 2021 by winning the Australian competition.

Red Bull is expanding their grassroots esports programs with the offering of the Campus Clutch.

Touted as the “biggest global university esports event to ever take place,” 35 countries across the world will be involved to find the best group of collegiate players globally.

Australians will have the chance to join in on the action through the local qualifiers, which kick off on April 8. Four qualifiers across April will lead into the National Final on April 24, where the Australian representative will be decided.

The winning team will win $12,500 worth of prizes, including an Intel NUC 11 Mini PC and peripherals by SteelSeries.

They will also be invited to the global finals later in 2021, with €20,000 ($30,000 AUD) up for grabs for the winners. A trip to the Valorant Stage 2 Masters will also be bundled into the top prize.

Students must be at least 18 years old and attending an Australian university to participate. New Zealand students are not eligible.
