Thursday, 24th June 2021 — Go Next Media is extremely pleased to announce that long-time Snowball Esports journalist Andrew “Ducky” Amos has joined the publication’s leadership team and the GNM ownership circle.
The ownership change will be made official on Monday, Aug. 2.
Andrew Amos joins the Go Next Media ownership group after more than three years writing for Snowball Esports. Since joining in June 2018, Amos has covered everything from Overwatch, Rainbow Six Siege, and League of Legends, to the emerging Valorant scene, and plenty more for our Oceanic publishing arm.
He said: “Snowball was my first home in esports, giving me the opportunity to not only write about talented players in Oceania, but build my skill set to turn esports from a hobby into a full time job. Without the platform, and the support of Snowball and Go Next Media, I wouldn’t be where I am today.”
Amos says he is eager to continue telling the stories of Oceanic pro players, aspiring esports stars, and organisations looking to leave their mark on the region.
“Becoming a part-owner of Go Next is the next step in my journey,” he said.
“I want to use my new-found platform to help grow budding writers into amazing journalists and storytellers, and give back to the community that has given me the most. Go Next Media is unparalleled when it comes to Oceanic esports content, and I want it to stay that way for the years to come.”
