Go Next Media ownership update: Nicholas Taifalos

“I want to make Snowball the be-all-end-all location for CS:GO content in Oceania.”

Friday, 25th June 2021 — Go Next Media is extremely pleased to announce that region-renowned Oceanic Counter-Strike journalist Nicholas “Taffy” Taifalos has joined the Snowball Esports leadership team and the GNM ownership circle.

The ownership change will be made official on Monday, Aug. 2.

Taifalos joins Snowball Esports after an 18-month spell at Here’s The Thing. Before that, the dedicated Counter-Strike reporter was associated with Renegades.

He said: “It’s an absolute privilege to join forces with some of the best storytellers and journalists in the Oceanic space. Snowball oozes passion, and to see it expand into a veritable powerhouse of esports coverage over the past four years speaks volumes of the drive and tenacity of the names behind Snowball and Go Next Media.”

“I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to join the growing Snowball Esports project, and can’t wait to get into the mix with all things Counter-Strike.”

Taifalos will take over Counter-Strike editorial responsibilities, and work alongside the publication’s CS:GO reporters, including Ashley Whyte and Luther Minshull. He has covered the Valve-developed game for more than half a decade, including building a long relationship covering Oceania’s star-studded ‘the boys’ roster.

“CS:GO will be my primary focus at Snowball Esports, and I’m very much looking forward to working with Ash and the team in building upon their solid foundation that is Snowball’s Counter-Strike coverage,” he said.

“I want to make Snowball the be-all-end-all location for CS:GO content in Oceania, from telling the tales of our best and brightest, to promoting our region’s grassroots projects.”
