Global mobile game publisher Netmarble Corp and Marvel Entertainment have announced global pre-registration is now live for Marvel Future Revolution.
Marvel Future Revolution is Marvel’s first Open World Action RPG mobile game, featuring an original storyline with fan-favorite Marvel Super Heroes and Super Villains. Written by Marvel writer Marc Sumerak, Future Revolution begins with numerous Earths converging across multi-dimensions to form an entirely new ‘Primary Earth’. As agents of the newly formed ‘Omega Flight’ superhero team, players will work together to battle an onslaught of Super Villains, confront their nefarious behaviours and defend the universe.
The game offers a unique Marvel experience to gamers, including a 3D Open World with AAA-quality graphics, a massive story and challenging game modes. Future Revolution players will have the opportunity to assume the roles of eight playable heroes:
- Captain America
- Captain Marvel
- Spider-Man
- Black Widow
- Iron Man
- Doctor Strange
- Star-Lord
- Storm
As with any ARPG there are plenty of game modes for PVE environments with challenges and raids however something that might offer some variation is its unique takes on PVP. A 10-vs-10 battle ground will be available for players to test their skills along with a 50 player battle royale.
With the 10-vs-10 and the 50-player battle royale offering potential esports opportunities, Marvel and Netmarble were tight lipped when pressed on esports opportunities the game will present but alluded that plans are in the works for Future Revolution esports.
The developers mentioned that they plan for Marvel Future Revolutions to be a truly global game to help lower queue times but are also conscious of the impacts ping and lag may have for competitive aspirations.
MARVEL Future Revolution will be available for iOS and Android devices as a free-to-play game in the second half of this year. Global pre-registration is now open via the App Store and Google Play.
