Sliding Doors: LCO 2022 Split 1, Week 1

Wray makes his doors 2022 debut and out the gate isn't holding back.

Welcome back to Sliding Doors for the Door Dash LCO 2022 season!

Each week we run through the League of Legends Circuit Oceania teams with sometimes spicy, sometimes nice if/then takes, and, every now and then, an additional bonus one around a special topic.

You might be familiar with this concept if you’re an AFL fan, which is where we got the idea. So without further ado, here are your sliding doors for the LCO Split 1, Week 1!

We’re throwing around the term “super team”,

this roster is worthy of the title. It’s giving me old school vibes with how stacked it is. I can’t wait to see how they go in the El Clasico…oh wait.

You remember the glory days of the Dire Wolves,

given all the management issues and this new roster, it’s fair to say those days are long gone.

Agent practices in global sport are seen as cunning and deceptive,

how does the wider public see signing 14 players on below minimum wage contracts?

You’re new to Oceanic League of Legends,

welcome! Happy to have you, and it looks like you’ve got a great roster. Hopefully you can fill the void now OCE has lost its biggest rivalry.

You’re looking for some new New Year’s resolutions for Mammoth in 2022,

prepare to hear the same old excuses. Open tryouts in 2022? Give me a break — I can’t stomach watching this organisation for another 20 weeks.

You’re still holding on to the hope that finally 2022 can be ORDER’s year,

we have only really one thing to tell you: In Kevy We Trust.

You were expecting PEACE to be a one-year wonder after an exciting 2021,

be pleasantly surprised they won’t be burning down like post-Worlds Mammoth despite losing Violet.

You’re wanting to bounce back after barely missing Worlds,

bringing BalKhan and Rogue back to OCE gets you 90% of the way there. Although if word on the grapevine is true, one can only hope Yuri doesn’t turn into the second coming of EMENES.

That’s all we have for this week! Check back next week for more Sliding Doors content.
