Sliding Doors: LCO 2022 Split 1, Week 2

How long can Wray keep this momentum up?

Welcome back to Sliding Doors for the Door Dash LCO 2022 season!

Each week we run through the League of Legends Circuit Oceania teams with sometimes spicy, sometimes nice if/then takes, and, every now and then, an additional bonus one around a special topic.

You might be familiar with this concept if you’re an AFL fan, which is where we got the idea. So without further ado, here are your sliding doors for the LCO Split 1, Week 2!

The Chiefs have been struggling to find success in a post “Raydere” era,

they’ve finally found it, come full circle, with Raes coming home. It’s hard to look past them as the odds-on favourite for MSI, even if it’s still January.

It’s going to be a split to forget for the Dire Wolves,

at least the Wolfpack can get excited about watching Goodo’s progress. Unshackled from Mammoth, he could take it to a new level in 2022.

You were hoping for a new year new Gravitas,

unfortunately you’ll still be spending the year circling the diary for games against Mammoth. The Biggest Loser is scheduled for this Tuesday!

You’re evaluating how your first week as the new kids on the block went,

50% is still a pass – albeit a rough one given Pentanet’s thumping. They say P’s get degrees, but do they get playoffs?

You haven’t been a big fan of MMM socials so far this year,

admittedly, their post about their game against Gravitas is a bit of a banger.

You’re looking for the script to ORDER’s year,

get the old manuscript out of the bin. There will be points of optimism throughout the split, but there’s no chance they get the job done when it counts.

You were looking for the biggest winners of week 1,

PEACE getting a win over Pentanet was a big scalp. It has given the LCO a clearly defined top three – potentially four if ORDER gets going.

The Pentanet boys are angry about their loss to Peace (hint: they are),

it’s a terrible week to be Mammoth and the Dire Wolves. Yuri could have three MVP awards by the end of the week.

That’s all we have for this week! Check back next week for more Sliding Doors content.
