Sliding Doors: LCO 2022 Split 1, Week 6

Wray is struggling new ways to flame ORDER's mediocrity.

Welcome back to Sliding Doors for the Door Dash LCO 2022 season!

Each week we run through the League of Legends Circuit Oceania teams with sometimes spicy, sometimes nice if/then takes, and, every now and then, an additional bonus one around a special topic.

You might be familiar with this concept if you’re an AFL fan, which is where we got the idea. So without further ado, here are your sliding doors for the LCO Split 1, Week 6!

we needed a reminder,

the Chiefs let us know just how good their team is last week. Topoon was playing like he was ready for MSI.

you can beat your direct rivals even with arguably your best player swapped out for an off-roled support,

at least the playoffs race now seems a bit easier.

there is one player to feel especially bad for on Gravitas,

Dajeung deserves all your sympathy. Having to be the rock in which your roster shuffles around isn’t nice for a rookie who would be serviceable in any other team.

you thought teams were bad at promoting their new rosters before the start of the season,

Fighto playing three games and then getting announced on Twitter a week later has to take the cake in terms of tardy announcements.

this team is the next generation of LCO talent,

the league is in pretty good hands for the coming years. Some players are really making a statement to be put onto better rosters come 2023.

you’re an organization that prides itself on “shaping the future of gaming culture”,

the future is looking pretty mediocre if you take on the Rift performances into account. Maximize on the mic is the most exciting ORDER have been all split.

we rag on Gravitas and Mammoth a lot in this vertical,

let it be abundantly clear – PEACE ownership is by far the most disgraceful for what’s come out this week. Don’t hate the players, but there needs to be proper sanctions for this.

you want to beat Pentanet,

in case you haven’t looked at their stats for the last two years: just ban Praedyth’s Aphelios. This is free advice. Without it, the team looks dicey at best.

That’s all we have for this week! Check back next week for more Sliding Doors content.
