ESL adds Menulog as food partner for ESL ANZ Championships

ESL and food-delivery service Menulog have announced their first-ever ‘food partnership’ that will support the upcoming ESL ANZ Championships season.

After a successful first season of ESL ANZ Championships for 2020, ESL have geared up for the second season by adding one of the pioneering food delivery services in the local market.

The partnership marks an expansion of Menulog’s presence in the local esports market, after their previously announced partnership with The Chiefs.

Menulog’s marketing director Simon Cheng was excited to share in the passion of the esports fanbase with their support of the broadcast of ESL ANZ Champs.

“We know esports is a real passion of so many of our customers and the broader community and so we’re proud to be able to support ESL and get behind this rapidly growing sport.”

In the current environment, food delivery services have proven to be a companion to esports viewing, and James Fletcher, product manager at ESL Australia views this companion as a “Natural fit for the ESL ANZ Champs.”

“Whenever our broadcast team needs lunch or dinner delivered, we’ve always chosen Menulog. We’re excited to deliver Australian esports fans some new segments in our broadcasts that showcase Menulog’s services and look forward to seeing the response.”

Cheng agreed on the “natural” fit between food and sport, adding that it was “even more so when you’re doing it from your own home! We’re encouraging all fans to keep their eyes peeled for Menulog in live streams and for some great incentives we have planned throughout the partnership.”

Keep an eye on the ESL Australia Twitch channel for the next season of ESL ANZ Champs, starting Tuesday 26 May 2020, and for the exclusive Menulog incentives.
